Betting - does anyone else do it?

I tend to do it after a beer or three.
(You won't be surprised to learn.)

But given that, I'm not nearly so bad as you might expect.
Approx 78 up this wimbledon, (I know zip about tennis but I know figures).

Anyone else indulge or am I a pariah?

Oddly enough I have no inclination to be a trader in MMPORPGs!

Just wondering ;)

On the rare occasion i go and see the Arse at highbury i do, i tend to bet against them tho, i find it softens the blow when they throw away a 2 goal lead again

..except when that one perfect hand comes along, and you bet big... then you take the house

TBH m8 betting AGAINST ur team makes a lot more sense than betting FOR it.

A year (just over now) ago a m8 of mine bet we would lose the L1 playoff final since it would cover his ticket. As it turned out he was right :/

The Swans obviously remain a draw for me but I do FAR better when I have absolutely no emotional involvement.

As you may have gathered . . . . ahem . . . :)
I'm not exactly enamoured of the Premiership
(Yes I'm a hypocrite and if the Swans ever got there again I probably would be, but this argument is to all practical purposes moot)
but it does seem to be a good hunting ground for draws (draw your own conclusions!).

As of the latter 1/3rd of last season I've been trying to predict 4 draws which usually gives you odds of 110-120 or thereabouts. The Premiership is a good hunting ground. I've got 3 on a couple of accasions there. I'm determined to make it 4! 1 a time on that one ;)

Beat me to it by all means :)

I used to like doing the odd accumulator on the gee gees when i was a stood... i always went for 1st or 2nd favs and got close a few times.. was quite exciting when your first 2 or 3 won.

A friend of mine (at Capita) put together the original WH websitey stuff IIRC.

I bet you could tell us a tale or two about the cock-ups that go on (well maybe you couldn't). Ladbrokes had a shocker the other night on an Irish game. I got to back the already leading team at 2.87!!! You would have lost money if you 'won' on a draw at 0.83!!! Not a bad spot after a few beers. Won me 33 that did :)

I used to play poker with friends a few years ago, before it became popular.

No way would I ever do it on-line though.

I've never been in a casino, don't intend to - even an online one.

They can offer me as many freebies as they like. I'm not biting.
Sports betting only for me.

A lot of people claim to have put our original website together, most of them are embelishing the truth somewhat :)

A good website for betting addicts is http://www.oddschecker.com/

Hehe funnily enough I did have that site bookmarked already ;)

I'm aware that Ladbrokes generally give uncompetitive odds, but the live betting is really quite captivating. The question is . . . do I really want more than the one account. So far the answer has been no.

Just wondering what I can possibly do to make Saturday afternoons even more complicated. It's not been unknown for me to be listening to Swans commentary on Paltalk (including chat room) whilst simultaneously watching up to 8 other game results on sportinglife.com (couple of accumulators say). But that's too easy. I'm thinking maybe picking one of those games I think will be a draw, betting for the status quo on 60 minutes live betting, and hedge around it. (Timing and nerves are everything here.) As an experiment ;)
Well I might do it once. lol.

Yes I had a fiver on Bartoli at 21-1 :)

105 won for 14 spent (including 5 on Henin at 11-1). I'm done for the night.

Other half is getting the celebratory Ben & Jerrys in as I type ;)
