Well, I have been asked to open up a post here about who would be interested in doing the basic pvp course offered by Agony Unleashed. I know some of us are interested in doing pvp and Taii has graciously offered to pay the tuition for everybody in CUK. :)

So here I am, posting. :) Who else is interested aside from me?

Here some information on the courses:

The next one is on January 30th / January 31st, 20:00 eve time.

So post here if interested.

I'm sort of interested, but i'm more interested in the grouping up and doing stuff together this time round playing EVE.

If a few of us do decide to go PVP (i've only done it a couple of times and it was heart pounding and great fun) then it would be useful.

Quick info, Aciiid, I dunno about the rest of the people, but medium term I am planning on going pvp exclusively. I am not sure how useful I will be for missions once I have found a pvp corp, because they are bound to be at war with someone who will shoot me and anybody I am grouping with out of the sky.

I have applied to a corp that is funnily enough at war with the Goons, so if I get accepted andTaii runs into us, he will probably try to blow me up. :) If the corp proves to be good I can try to get you into it too. :)

Just a heads up, im trying to sort out something with Tea and Larg to get a private theory course for the CUK guys so you can have a chat and have stuff explained to you in a much smaller group then join up at a later date for the actual PvP side of things so people like Zed for example dont have trouble having to set aside 2 days in a row off for this.

I just have to ctach hold of Tea as he will be doing this :D

You would be wise to try get in on this. This is about learning the basics of PvP so saving you alot of deaths (and ISK). Its focus is on gang work and the OP you will do is group based. It really is ideal and comes highly recommended by everyone ibn EVE and is a very popular course they hold.

I'm up for this, and if it could be a smaller group of us doing it, then even better. I'm not really sure on my longer term plans with EvE, I'm still hoping for some mission/get riching, then something like RvB still appeals when I get to that point, to cut my teeth on PvP with targets always around.

A couple of RL Friends of mine do a lot of Small Gang faction warfare. Whilst their corp is a member of the Minmatar Militia, hunting down and killing any Amarr and Caldari scum they can find, they shy away from the large, retarded blob warfare that often marr's these conflicts, their Gangs seem to consist of 5-10 peopel at most, instead working as a separate skirmishing unit within a larger force.

From what i can see as well, they are starting to get pretty good at it too.

If anyone is interested then i'll get you in touch. A little bit of basic theory, then plenty of practice getting blown up is great esxperience. Chatting to him yesterday they have just carrier jumped a huge stack of Fitted T1 Matari Ships into their latest combat area for anyoen to take out and kill with.

The class portion is on the Sat with the roam on the Sunday.
Technically the roam is optional (though lots of fun) so if you can only make the Sat you'll still get the full taught section.

I'll see what I can do about a CUK only seminar to answer additional questions afterwards (my time is a bit limited at the moment due to preparing for the iceland summit in 5 weeks).
