The PoS...how to and what to do

Ok how to use the labs.

Go to the lab you want to use, Lab 1, Lab 2 etc
Place it in the blue print part of the structure storage.
Right click and pick the the respective option (ME, PE etc).
Change the following tickers, Location to Mobile lab and Type to Corporation.
Pick the lab you want.
Use assembly line.
Change the runs so that it is around 2 weeks long in duration.
Click ok and its now researching.

To see your job.

Click the science and industry tab.
Change the owner to My Corporation
Click get jobs
When its done, it will say Ready.
Click it and deliver in the bottom rght
To cancel do as above but click cancel job.

2 week or so duration so you dont get shafted if the PoS is offlined.
Once 2 weeks is up, you can do another 2 weeks if you want.

Ammo only needs around 100 runs
Rigs need alot less, 10-30 is the usual
1 run on a ship takes alot longer then usual

Worth using MLC Calculator to work out exactly how long it will take you and what is the best amount of runs before theres no waste or its pointless.

I wouldn't bother manufacturing on the PoS and i dont recommend storing stuff there since the HQ is in the system.

Well it's up and running and I've nicked lab 4 for now.

I rolled a new alt with lab op 5 to keep the queues filled

tea - i've got a rifter bpo going at the moment, not sure if you need one.


I'm planning on getting the following done first:
3 main Small projectile ammos to ME100 (2.2 days)
rifter, rupture & stabber to the ME point (not sure, the rifter's goign to ME10 currently)
Med projectiles
then Large projectiles (3 main ones)

after that, not sure, will see what we're using alot of.

I have a plan on the ammo BPs I have. It either maxs them or in the case of some of the large ammo maxes everything but tritanium (and in the case of lots of them, the next improvement in tritanium is 50+ runs away)

I do have some torp and cruise BPs, but I figure those are getting done by others and I might not bother with mine, same with the rifter.

I have enough skill to keep 9 items in the queue so shouldn't have any downtime on the ME side.

How do you actually get hold of BPO's? bar buying them from the market.

Bought mine on the market, but sometimes you can get stuff from item exchange / auction contracts.

Note that most of the stuff on contract is likely to be a blueprint copy which will have limited runs and cannot be researched.

For the time being, theres something called research and development (R@D). This is where you do research for an agent (you dont actually do anything in reality) and each research point you receive is like a lottery ticket. This ticket gives you a chance of a T2 BPO when the agent decides to give some away. If you are very lucky enough to get offered one, you pay for it with all your accumilated research points. This is more then likely being removed in the summer but for now this is the only other way of getting BPO's (i think).

I think I'm disapointed - I thought this was going to be a full station with facilities etc. ??

What about manufacturing?? The HQ station has no manufactiuring facilities. Nor do any of the other stations in this solarsystem. Bit of a pain in the butt to have to ferry bp's over to the PoLabs and then move them back to another station jumps away just to make stuff.

ps. Are the corp hangars at the Hyasyoda Mineral Reserve locked out now??

You didn't have any rights. Should be ok now.

You can build full on stations knowns as outposts but these cost a fortune. There also ones in 0,0 you can capture.

Would you mind cancelling some of the longer running jobs you have going on the POS under emmon. You've managed to single handedly tie up just under half of the avalabe number of ME research slots for severalw eeks, making it fairly tricky for anyoen else to get research done

I guess youa re going to come back and say "oh, but i said 3 each, and ther are 9 in use, 3 for me, 3 under emmon and 3 under grav...." erm, if you wan too, fair enough, but considering most peopel also have alts, and have managed to to hog resources using them... it'd be cool if you can use a few less as it's rather busy right now.

I've restricted my alts to running jobs on lab 4.
Using the extra research slots on the alts to keeping the queues filled.

3 are mine, 3 are gravl's and 3 are fans. Emmon is doing them as he does it 25% faster then fan, grav and i. I can take them off if you want and we will do them seperately but it will take 25% longer.

It makes sense to load up a character with the research if he has the skills to reduce the time, and can run that many jobs. I kinda assumed thats what was going on. I've staked my claim on Lab 7.

I have roughy worked out that I have about a couple of weeks research, then I'm done. If anybody wants me to feed the machine BPOs by proxy I'm happy to do that

Note changes to the PoS. 4 ME jobs allowed now as it seems alot of peeps have got their ammo BPO's done.

As people have noticed, im doing invention. This means im hogging the invention and copying portion of the labs atm. Make sure you PM, ingame mail, Corp chat me to tell me if you plan to do it so we can sort out the slots.

If anyone is still having trouble researching at the pos due to not having a corp wallet division selected, there is now a solution. Dart was having problems with it earlier, so I gave him access to wallet division 7 and put a symbolic amount of isk in it since there are stories going that there must be isk in the related wallet, even if it doesn't charge anything.

So I suggest we use wallet division 7 for this in the future.
