yes, yes.. very realistic...
- Ugly skins, but great animations
- Realistic looking maps ( i suppose ), but crappy textures and poor poly counts
- Extremely good sounds that sound less like static, and more diverse, like something out of a good action movie
Once I get some buy binds sorted maybe i'll think about playing it again
The only "realism" i get from the game are guns that have real names and your character goes down in a hit or 2. Oh and the fact that people arent bunnyhopping around the maps... I like that. But then I see the water effects, the skins, THE RADAR?? and the absolute lack of atmosphere and say...
No thanks. Granted it must of been revolutionary in August 99 but If you love this game enough to not even look at Tactical Ops for UT then fine. But imo your missing out on a brilliantly atmospheric, easily run, extremely low pinged ( compared to CS ) game which has superbly decorated skins and maps.
I still sweat buckets when im the last on my team in TO... When I was last on my CS team I just didnt care. Especially when some of the maps has colour schemes like disneyworld.

Oh and yes when UT2k3 becomes released... Tactical Ops will release a mod to play with that engine, you can stick to your HL engine ( and didnt that come from Quake? )
