Not a bad draw for England another walk through for Brazil and easy for Germany again,group C looking very tough

Englands looks to be the easiest group in there, by default tho all scots are now of Swedish descent and will be supporting them until it becomes apparent that we possibly came from Paraguay...

lets face it the world cup draw is a fix, the way they make it so the the "selected few" don't have to play each other to give them better odd's of getting thu, even tho every team there had go thu all the rounds to get in.
they should make it a total radom selection and if you end with 4 of the top teams in the one group. so be it

No Btone, there is a Fifa World Ranking (England are 8th I think) and seeding systems for the top 8 based on the previous tournaments (and weighted according to the most recent) so the teams that do well in the 4 years leading up and to it, to a lesser extent, on previous results get an advantage. Just like it is for any other tournament for any other sport. Rugby and Cricket are the same, so is Tennis. If you saw say Brazil, Argentina, Italy and France all in one group it would mean the knockout stages would see some bunch of no-marks go through and no one wants to see Costa Rica v Ghana in the Semis. It will hardly do the spectacle of the World Cup any favours....
