Do you think...

Liverpools performances for the past two weeks have been dreadful. Behind the scenes at the club things are even worse, which is far more worrying to me than a series of crap matches.

The chief exec (Rick Parry) is an incompetent ass. He messed up a series of big transfers over the summer of players we absolutely need in key positions. Benitez is totally unhappy with him and believes he should be sacked for the good of the club.

David Moores (owns the club) has said privately that he believes Benitez may well leave. He (moores) is a bit spineless and it would be a big thing for him to sack Parry.

The squad we have is not good enough, plain and simple. I'm happy with the expensive signings Benitez has made from Spain (Alonso, Sissoko, Reina, Garcia) but the cheap buys he made (Josemi) isnt good enough to deputise for Finnan and playing Crouch means a new approach from the team. I think Crouch could be a good buy but that will take time as Rafa is this season trying to change the whole way the team plays to be more like Valencia.

What concerns me is I'm not sure how much the poor performances are down to i) some of the players not being good enough, ii) the new systems Rafa is teaching the team or iii) unrest behind the scenes affecting team morale and performance.

I'm very confident about Benitez ability to deliver a title challenging side; I'm not concerned about a series of crap performances as he sorts the wheat from the chaff and teaches the side whole new systems. What I'm really concerned about is the possibility of Benitez leaving.

Log into Soccernet and see big story about some gimp at Chavski saying they're going to win all four trophies this season...........right before they lose to Charlton.

If Liverpool play the way they have have been playing, they'll get beaten, even by us no-hopers who are, incidentally, higher in the league and have a +9 goal difference over 'em.

You were lucky Mr Crouch preferred L'pool over West Ham or it could be you with Bambi on Ice up front doing nothing.

For that, I am thankful. Although to be fair, he'd get better service at West Ham as we play with two proper wingers :p

Liverpools team for tomorrow :

................Reina................
Finnan...Carra..Hyypia..Riise
.........................................

......Cisse..........Morientes....

4-4-2 With Gerrard playing on the right.

Repka identified as one of your weak points Ky; would you go with that ?

100% m8. Even better for you, it looks like our best player, Yossi Benayoun won't be playing which leaves us without real width and creativity on the right. Etherington is due to find some form as this season he really has been off-colour whereas last season he was our best player.

However our central defenders, Ferdinand (A) and Gabbidon have been outstanding, as has Konchesky. Without Gerrard I'd fancy us to get a result. With LFC having Gerrard back and us without Benayoun, I'm not so sure. Reo-Coker needs to have a good game for us to have a chance as does Teddy!

Did you see why I rate Alonso so highly Ky ? Think you said before you hadn't seen enough of him to have an opinion on him. Garcia was good too. Sissoko didnt have one of his best games but Id still say he was one of the best three of our players, with Garcia and Alonso. Three Benitez buys, incidentally.

Impressed with West Ham, Expect them to be top half at the end of the season.
