I think England have much more chance of beating France than beating the All Blacks - I was cheering for them at the top of my voice! Yesterday was a pretty horrendous day for most of the people I work with... they're nearly all antipodeans from Oz or NZ!

I'd go along with this too tbh, but i'm not going to write off scotland jsut yet.

On friday night we were discussing how abdly england were going to get beaten, and not expecting anythign much from them. I'm not going to make the mistake of thinking they could win again, it seems to work wonders. :)

Like Georgie boy gloated at the All Blacks last world cup "4 more years eh boys, 4 more years". Cry more. Specially that fat gobshite in the ARFU. Loved the fact that Sheridan marmalised his man only to go on and marmalise his replacement when they finally dragged the bloke off. Class. Both games showed that heart and attitude really do go a long way when there's not that much between teams.

I was yelling that much next door must have loved me yesterday :)

Why is everyone happy the France won? You know they place full of French people, the natural enemy. Now we have the chance for them to knock us out of the cup, oh that'll be fun.

France didn't just 'win', they knocked the all blacks out of the world cup in Epic style. the match was awesome. You see, it's entirely possible to transcend national boundaries when you're collectively stuffing the antipodeans. :)

But they are French for goodness sake, I will never cheer them on no matter who they are playing (that includes Germany I would just see that as a lose lose situation).

NZ gave us the perfect setting for LotR whereas France gave us ........ hmm well that scene from Team America ;)

Sorry dude, this isn't football where any old racial stereotyping and pathetic pissant nationalist bullshitting gets the hearts and minds of the fans whipped up into a bloodlust so they can, erm, do, erm.... whatever.

It was a great match and a famous victory. What exactly is your problem with that?

No problem with that just the French, sport has so little to do with why people hate the French.

As far as I can tell people dislike NZ RU and want them beat because they are confident and pretty fucking awesome on the whole. It's envy.

Now can you imagine what the French are going to be like if they win the bloody thing :D

Not really

Envying a great team is one thing, but constantly being bombarded by "your are shit". "You don't deserve the title of world cup holders" and teh other constant abuse, barragling, sledging, and general faggotry that comes from the Australian Sub-continet gets a bit tedious.

Or this one?

have a look through some auz / NZ websites, cross refence the dates and compare attitudes. Hell, even jsut read the linky i put up there. Besides watching peopel with big mouths fall over after putting their foot in it is always good.

It's not my fault they are all a bunch of criminals.

A friend of mine went to australia recently, on teh way in they asked if he had a criminal record. he replied: "i didn't realise i still needed one, but if you insist i'll go and steal a car when i get home."
