Female screams for help once more

Right I have finally managed to download the bloody film and played it and guess wot? only sound
Now I contacted the people who I downloaded the file from and they ALL say it works fine!
Alan has also downloaded a film and guess wot? He has the same problem.
After 4 days of trying to get this file I find I cannot only not play it but I dont seem to be able to play ANY video downloads except the babylon 5 bloopers files which worked perfectly.even if the picture quality was pants they DID play.
So what am I doing wrong? I have tried playing them in windows media player/morpheus and a couple of other bits that were installed on my pooter when I got it.

You probably need the divx player or to install the dixv codec for media player.

if ya d/ling movies this probly gunna happen again best bet is to fire up the old ms player (ver 6.4 is the best can get it for www.downloads.com ) it should tell ya what codec is missing though msp has most of um pre installed

You tried to use the Morpheus player? Yuck. Horrible, horrible program, buggy as hell, keeps crashing my computer (then again, so does opening the curtains or making a cup of tea), and I love it to bits.
