I'm currently going round in my nifty little Rifter with
3 x 150 Light AutoCannon 1
Rocket Launcher (forget the name)

1MN Afterburner 1
Stasis Webifier 1
Cap Recharger 1

Small Armour repairer 1
Damage Control 1
200mm Rolled Tungsten Plates

And I got given a Thrasher from a mission, is it easier to run missions in that, or shall I stick to the Rifter and perhaps use the Thrasher as a Salvaging Ship when I get to L3/4 missions ?

The Thrasher will be good for missions with not many enemies because it will kil them fast. You will take a *lot* more damage in it though so it's not recommended for missions featuring a lot of rats.

Destroyers have frigate sized hit points without the frigate speed and agility. They are also as easy to hit as cruisers so guns do more damage to them.

Mostly destroyers are good as salvaging boats and not much else.

Well my Rifter with three different ammo types (which I did to try out which ammo does the most damage on what I was fighting and still use cos I'm lazy), kill a normal enemy in 2 rounds from each gun. That said that was training missions, I've yet to do my first L1 mission.

Well that being the case I'll keep the destoyer elsewhere until I start on L3 missions and salvaging as everyone seems to be of the opinion that it's not worth salvaging before L3 missions as you make more running just running missions.

Once I get the hang of these things more I'll move to where others are and get on the same agent as I'm guessing then people could share missions ? Or would I be just as useful not being liked by the agent and just turning up and salavaging the mission and splitting the results ?

So many questions, oh to just be at home playing !

You can share missions if you're in the same fleet, the standings are split and whoever turns the mission reward in gets to choose if the rewards are split too. Sharing missions can be fun but it shouldn't be necessary for L1s even with a low SP character.

Well bit the bullet this morning and subbed, enjoyed playing last night, and wanted to fly a freighter but can't on a trial sub so that was the final thing :)

Now I just need to get the freighter, and ship those medium containers to my mission place, feel like such an idiot buying 6 instead of 3, and then finding out they weren't even in the station I was in :/

if you post a delivery order mission one of us could transfer it for you, if you pay you may even find some random person delivers it for you as well....

Sounds complicated :) I kinda like the idea though of trying some of the other things out, at the end of the day moving everything to one station is simply because I feel it's tidier, and doing it myself makes it abit more exciting if you know what I mean. Reading up on freighters and people making moving stuff there job is interesting, not something I'd do, but when I do eventually get to PvP stuff being able to move my own stuff would be useful (well in R-v-B it would be as I could drop from the corp, haul new stuff in, then rejoin, not so useful in "real" PvP, and that's where a delivery order I guess is useful ?)

Bah, compared to my current frigate, everything is a freighter, but I'll take the hint now and call it an industrial, though I might rename it to 'My First Freighter' just for giggles ;)
