I thought this was supposed to be a big industrial expansion?

Except for the Orca (Blah, all I wanted was a mini-freighter...), some market tweaks and a few changes to transport ships (Blah, Now i'll have to train cloaking on my hauler) I don't see much of interest. :(

StacklessIO and Eve64 have been out for a while mate, it's working liek a absolute charm. Infact it was that rollout that brought me back to Eve. Having 1100 players in one system shooting each other kinda makes any other PvP game seem a bit silly!

Someone said that's more players than there are active at any one time in WAR on a single server. Is this true?

Anyway - back to the plot:
The nano nerf is going to be awesome. Soem nano ships (Read Vaga) will still work. Most won;t. Assault Frigates will be in, Plate cruisers will be back IN. Arazu's with 20+km Warp Scrams shuting off MWD's will be Nasty, but they are made of paper and damps suck so that shouldn't be too bad.

Interesting times.

However, i am SO UNIMPRESSED with the damage this will do to my Mindlinked Claymore Pilot.... Not exactly useless just.... Less suefull. changing that 36.8% speed bonus to 25% agaility....

The orca is like a mini rorqual right? A industrial command ship?

I am training, Oh, Explosive armor compensation IV on iteken - 1 day 18 hours remaining, and Astrometric Pinointing V on Theodolite - 22 days remaining. That should be enough.

Orca is basically a mini Rorqual yes, no jump drive or hangar space, can sit with gang mods on and tractor in cans from 70km away.

Medium drones get a nerf, will see how that goes, currently I don't use lights at all, My Ogre IIs can hit almost anything except very fast (read nanofag nonsense) stuff and whatever they can't hit the Hammerhead IIs take care of. If Hammerheads stop being able to hit Crows then I guess the Hobgoblins may get loaded up instead.

Nano nerf doesn't really affect me too much - means I'll need to replace all the low slots on my Ishtar and I'll probably fly my Taranis a lot less. Other than that, meh.

AFAIK, snakes and similar implants will be auto unplugged and replaced in your hangar which seems nice. Not that they'll be worth anything anymore but at least you won't lose them altogether.

I have Sentry Drones V training at the moment. Even CCP can't screw the servers up for 20 days straight.

They nerfed the crap out of heavy / medium drones, and missiles in general form what i can tell, to balance the speed changes. Previously you ahd to have your inty at about 8k/s to avoid warrior II's (The fastest drones) but if You were doing under 3k in a cruiser then Hammerhead II's would facerape your poly'd arse. Same with misisles. IIRC precision lights would hurt up to 8km/s ish, Heavies would still hurt a 3.4km/s cruiser so that needed to be fixed.

i think :)

They basically scaled everything down. Even Webs and MWD's. The max you will get out of a web now is 60%.

I think snakes etc will now be usefull. the reason behind unplugging everythig nis they have moved alot of the other 'imba awesome' implants, like the rogue MY-1 to slot6 where the 2bil Snake omega would sit....

Hoepfully the market for snakes will crash and i can get a set cheap - speed will still be good, jsut not invincable ;)

Perfect example yesterday of broken speed. 3 of us in 7+k/s vagas get baited by a Drake in a belt. By the time the hostile gang went from "appearing on overview at max range" to "landed" the webbed guy had got out of web by brute force, and were 85km away from their "trap" gang of HIC's, HAC's, BC's and inties. A crow burned at us then changed it's mind and we walked off giggling.

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

OTOH Drakes can't hit them with heavy missiles at that speed any more and go about 1200m/s with a mwd :)

I'm not overly bothered about the changes to be hoenst for many reasons. The mix of snakes, polys, od's + Command bonuses was so fucking imbalanced it wasn't funny. There should be differences in speed between types of ship, and classes, and as such the vaga is still going to be the king of speed and the generic hit & run just a bit less industructable. Maybe, have to see how it pans out. Going to have to be very very carefull with approach -> orbit insertions though as for a few weeks every man and his dog is going to be flying with warp scrams.
Adapt or Die. Or Die, then Adapt :)

The rebalancing of counters to speed to stop them absolutely slaughtering fast light ships are the real interesting part... to me..

Missiles will get buffed or the T2 precision ones will at least. They over nerfed explosion velocty WAY too much.
