Question re industrial chars

Ive just resubbed one of my other accounts, and im thinking of going mining etc with it. What's the best route to go in terms of skills and ships?

Mining, Refining, Im htinking of going industrial Minmatar ships and ORE ships but what else?

With my 2 chars, i went mining/refining on my main, and industrial/transports/command ships on alt, then they released the Orca/Rorqual it turns out my alt needs mining V as well so she's currently training that, in 27 days or so i'll be able to train the Orca and will be available for mining gangs etc, large ore capacity and Ship maint hangar and she's then well on the way for rorqual training if i ever go back to 0.0

TBH mining sucks for income unless you are able to scale it up to a large operation. As a solo miner in high sec don't expect to be making mad isk even with the best mining ships and maxed skills.

Have ore prices dropped cos even 6months ago, high sec mining wasn't that bad for a chill out op with people if your in hulks with an orca/CS

I used to mine a moderate amount, but left shortly after they nerfed missions with roids in em. it was worth mining then but yes the std roids suck.

ps. I got a 5 day re-sub thing too...... ooo decisions decisions. it's ST:O weekend bananza atm though... /sigh

With the new sov system its easy to make at least 2bill isk a week from mining in 0.0 if your in a upgraded system with industry lvl 5 upgrade in.

I use 2 of my alts in hulks and my main as a hauler, just go straight for abc ore's the new hidden belts have a silly amount of them.

Ninja mining can be pretty profitable, just find a quiet 0.0 system to mine in and the most dangerous part is getting in and out, once you're in place you should be golden.

You'll need a separate tanker as you don't ever want to get aggro on your hulk (15 minute log-off timer) and probably a blockade runner to haul your loot out.

The tank should have a cloak on it and whenever a hostile enters your system you warp your Hulk to a deep safe and log it out there while your tank cloaks up and waits for the system to clear. Your ore goes into cans anchored at a different deep safe to your Hulk logout point and you haul it out with either a blockade runner (slow but cheap) or in a jump capable ship like a carrier or JF (more efficient but expensive).

Failing that you can try and get on CVA's good side and go mine in Providence.

Finding some decent roids in those level 4 missions of yours shouldn't be that hard Zed. Omber may be the best thing you can mine though...
