looks nice.

bet loads of people complain about it being the standard blizzard corruption thing with malthael... and completely miss the point that the angels in diablo have *never* been the good guys, and this is actually just an angel acting like an angel :p

any word on how it ties into the PS3 release next month? i'd been planning to get that to play with some friends of mine that dont have gaming PCs, but want to play this new expansion too... :/

though not sure if i'd reroll crusader, or carry on with my sexy shiney barby! (already wearing white and gold plate to look as paladiny as he can :p)

Looks like the beta started off recently.

I have to say it looks really good now, opened it up and given more end game stuff as well as some really cool crafting things. There was a good video from blizzcon if anybody wants more details, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2sxfyNkosQ

Are we going to be able to get in this beta like the original diablo 3 one? I would drop a hint, but meh, I'm not feeling subtle today. Will have to sort out PTR otherwise, loot 2.0 & paragon 2.0 \o/

If I lost any of you on my friends list, I'm Artanix#1557 if you end up coming back. Stop playing PoE already :p

Storyline wise, there isn't a great deal of "evil" left, I think all prime and lesser evils have been sorted out now? Apart from witch lady, most stuff was wrapped up.

All I want to do is slap that girl for being so emo she turned into Diablo.

Leah doesn't get a mention in Reaper of Souls does she? Perhaps we'll get to save her soul in the next expansion.

I think her cards were marked as soon as she started talking about opening an inn 'when all this is over'. She might as well have put on a red shirt at that point :D

How many books have we all read that the characters are going to retire and 'open an inn'!!

Fantasy realms must be full of retired heroes with empty inns!

Saying that, been reading Name of the wind where the main char is retired and has an inn.....but it is empty.

Oh and reaper of souls....not sure if I will get it, D3 a lovely game despite the critisim, but missing that something for me.

The ones in Skyrim were once i'd been through and liberated all their cabbages and cheese.

Man, my house full of cheese and cabbage was awesome.

Reaper i think will add the missing something to D3.

As for fantasy inns. Imagine if you decided to start trouble in the inn owned by a hero or two. Think DND. 20+ level characters sorting out a bar fight of a couple drunks

theres an old bloke in a book i'm reading at the moment, who keeps talking about how he's going to retire any moment now, and go back to being a drover in his homeland... there is absolutely no way he's making it to the end of the book :(. its a shame, but you just can't talk about retirement plans and expect to live long enough to see them.

Don't forget the noise of 1 fork dropping off a table, yet making a similar noise to a scrap yard during an earthquake.

As for RoS, regardless of why the AH got removed, I'm liking the item progression changes. I don't like grinding for that perfect item, but for some reason, it feels ok to salvage crap items for hours to get an extra +2 stat on your main weapon. Also some of the effects are going to be fun, like the "can walk through monsters" one.
