"So who will you support?"

Based on the feeble campaign the BBC is running trying to drum some enthusism for a competition they paid millions for, not factoring the 'McClaren' angle that England would be so bad they can't even qualify.

Who you be supporting?

I hope Holland win, but think France will :(

What are the odds that tonight's game between 2 of the big boys in "The Group of Death", Holland v Italy will be a yawn-fest, as neither will want to lose and will be cocky enough to already be counting on 3 pts from Romania?

Well thank god i was wrong, guess they both saw that Romania wasn't a walk-over and that France would be trying extra hard in their games from now on.

I see that Kuyt was just a waste of space again, eh Janie?

I doubt you can afford him. But you don't need him now SuperKuyt is about!

You may be right; his price has probably doubled with his performance this week. Notice how he ignored everyone else and ran straight to Torres, who by that time was on the bench, to celebrate when he scored his hat trick ?

I know he was/is our number 1 target, we put a bid in a couple of weeks ago and have spoken to him and he wants to come here. Also Rafa has more money than the press are aware of. Whether we can now afford him is a different matter. He has 20mill plus proceeds from sales, which will be another 20-30mill (Alonso, Crouch, Riise, Carson and some lesser players).

Barry, by the way, will be an inspired signing for us. Perfect player for the system Rafa plays.

Looks like you've conned Juventus into paying 14 million for a dud like Alonso. Seems like Villa want 20 million for Barry I and Liverpool want to pay closer to 10 million with maybe a player exchange, but Villa want straight cash - He'll probably end up going for around 15 in the end, which means you've pretty much swapped Alonso for Barry which is a hell of a cope!
Any truth to Rafa interested in James Milner? Seems a strange one, unless teams are really starting to get scared of the 6-5 rule which may come in (Hell even Arsenal are buying 17 year old welsh wonders :p).

I'm absolutely GUTTED about missing out on Aaron Ramsey; he is going to be a heck of a player. Milner I know we offered Insua in part ex for, who Rafa rates, so must be serious about him. We are short of anybody on the left side, let alone anyone class, except for Babel.

Villa have rejected a 3rd offer for Barry of around 13-14 million from Liverpool.
I'm amazed Arsenal aren't in for Barry, they badly need a holding/controlling midfielder - I know Arsenal don't like to buy English or players over the age of 13, but come on. And for whatever reason Villa have expressed an interest in Hoyte, so an exchange + cash could work.

Oh any one else really, really hate Andy Townsend's 'expert' pundetory/summary on ITV?
