Done I think (its being updated). I was leading all season up until the point where Fergie fell out with Van Nilsterooy and I didn't know whether to transfer him out or what. Ended up wasting 5 games with no main striker.

Eventually subbed him out and replaced him with Henry. He scored a hat trick today and was man of the match.

Only 20 points in it at the end tho.

So what are your gambles and bankers for this seasons team ?


My bankers are Schevchenko, Gerrard, Ferdinand and Toure.


Gambling big time on Villa improving in defence under O'Neill with two of their defenders and their keeper.


Putting my money on the table by including Pennant and Kuyt, though taking a big ganble on Kuyt due to our rotation policy and the fact he is unlikely to play tomorrow.

Gabled on Portsmouth doing better this season, apart from that it's a fairly average team with few "wonder players" but more players who will hopefully play week in week out and do a job.

Main banker is Henry.

It's about time someone else is top, according to the Skysports league table we have been top for about 3months now! :-D

I've got Gerrard, Scholes (suspended atm tho, the twat), Nolan proving the midfield goals and Henry, Harewood and Davies up front.

Van De Saar in goal as I think with Heinze back, Man Uniteds defence looks very strong. Ferditwat, Heinze, Twat, Brown, O'Twat, Twatic, Silvestwat....

Also got Lampard, Chimbonda, Jaaskelainen and Nolan in there.

3 Subs injured at the moment. :(

Must keep a regular eye on it this season. Never looked for about the first 10 or so games and then realised Henry had been out injured. Never recovered from there.

Toure, Hyppia & Terry make the backbone of my defence - hopefully there respective teams won't be letting in alot of Goals - 4th defender is Gaddidon.

In Midfield I have Boa Morta (sp?), Duff (who i hope operates more attackingly as Newcastle have no strikers), Cahill & Convey (superwinger from Reading).

Up front i had got Herny & Ashton till ashton broke his ankle, now he's replaced with Lua Lua, who ironically is injured tomorrow - so it's Herny and John up front.

Oops, didn't realise two of my team were off with injury until the bus-driver was talking about the fantasy league he's in :)

Lets see if the person who knows nothing about football stays at the bottom of the league and maybe even learns something in the process (I'd not bank on the second part)

Edit: Transfers open again tomorrow yeah ? I'm thinking of rejigging my team a little, and if anyone is bored I'm open to suggestions :)

aye thats right by the looks just done 1 transfer for free, last season I tranfered 5 at once and got hammer with my points :(

Transfers it said open tomorrow, does that mean I can just do one transfer per week without getting my already bottom of the table score even lower ?

And according to the bus driver (same one who I had this morning) "Remember it's a marathon, not a sprint" (he's at the bottom of his fantasy league as well), he even offered me a suggestion on who to transfer in for my attackers but while he drives a bus pretty well as he's already bottom of his league I'm not sure I should listen :)

Can anyone explain to me what the Gameweek in our league means ? everyone's seems different, which seems odd as I'd have assumed everyone would now be on week 2 ?

And I didn't do any transfers and I'm off the bottom of the league ! :D /dance

The game week is the deadline for changes for you team (subs, transfers, captain change, sub priority to take effect). If you click help in the right hand column in the game and then look at the categories for help "Deadlines" is one of them, clicking on that gives the following:
"Help - Deadlines

Any changes to your team (substitutions, transfers, captain changes, substitution priorities) must be made by the Gameweek deadline to take effect for that set of matches.
