40K help needed

I, by no means, am good at the modelling and clearly id consider my painting to be good table top (not uber Req/brutus standard) so i need help.

two options:

1. Find me a model i can use and paint up with minimum effort to represent Belial. Im considering the Captain from Space hulk currently (though the blood angel iconography will need careful management)

2. Someone do something special for me (and yes ill pay for it) :).


The thing is Belial should look much more than any normal termie. Whilst i have a 1989-1990 Terminator captain (the one with the wrist mounted grenade launcher) im not convinced.

I'd be up for doing a commission. I'd need to figure out what I'd be building it from though before I could give you any kind of a quote.

Shouldn't be too hard to do. A bit of greenstuff work but mostly just sticking bits from the Vet sprue to Lysander.

aye that works fine. Could you magnetzie the arms and have a pair of lc's as an alternative tothe ps and sb? Or wouldn't it work too well?

i cant believe how good with green stuff some people are... my limits are, approximately, filling in gaps where the bits dont fit together quite right on vehicles :/

I don't have the DA codex so you're going to need to tell me what options Belial comes with and any alternative loadouts anyway.

Magnetising arms shouldn't be a hassle.

from memory, but ill confirm, its SB + PF, 2 X LC and TH / SH.

Right Belial's loadouts are:

1. Standard: Storm Bolter and sword of Silence (master crafted power weapon)
2. Option 1: Thunder hammer and storm shield
3. option 2: pair of lightening claws.

The sword is a named blade of repute in the dark angels armoury (so it would need to look special i think ;-)) In the codex he's picture wearing a standard though there is nothing 'special' about this in the rules entry (apart from a terminator in the army can carry his standard

In terms of weapons though id probably favour options 1 and 3 though all 3 options would be really nice if doable without too much hassle. If its best to stick with a single weapon choice then the SB and sword would be absolutely fine.

OK. I've ordered some bits (Lysander, DA upgrade sprue) and I'll see what I can scrounge as I don't exactly want to buy a box of assault terminators just for a pair of arms.

Dont worry about it then bud. the basics are fine :)

Most of my deathwing will be shooty anyways.

I know I dont have the TH + SS (I used them all!) but I might be able to grab a pair of LCs for you if you like Z? (I assume you used up the last lot I sent you!).

Also an alternative to the banner could be the terminator chaplains iron halo or one from the terminators sprues themselves (might even have one, will look later). Would certainly be in keeping with the model and his rank.

The DA sprue has a Storm Shield on it and I'm pretty sure I can fake a Thunderhammer. The LCs would be ace though if you have those spare.

I have a spare pair as well now since i got an assault box recently on top of the ones Brutus sent me. I can pop the sargeant ones in an envelope for ya (pm the address)

If you have a spare Thunderhammer and/or Storm Shield arm that would help too but I can fudge it if not.

D'oh, for some reason I had it in my head that Lysander came with storm bolter and power sword. Never mind then, I just need the claws.
