I've watched a lot of Joaquim Flight and to say he's the best winger in the world is simply not true. When he's on form, he's very good but he often goes missing.

Agree with Ky on Joaquin. Seen him singlehandedly win a few games but he goes missing more often than not. If he goes missing in La Liga, whats going to happen on a bitterly cold day in Wigan or Bolton.

Its hard to appreciate how poor a shape the club was in when he arrived a year ago. Not just a massive squad of crap players, but a financial nightmare after Foullier not only spent �120million on shite, but gave a lot of players enormous wages.

I'm more than happy with the progress we've made on and off the pitch and with the quality of his buys.

Yeah I agree with you Ky, Jaoquin goes missing in games, but then thats true of any and every top class winger.

What he has bought so far dosen't seem much different at the mo mate. Winning the CL was great don't get me wrong, but I'm sure most Liverpool fans want some consistent success at home and they just look no where near it currently. Maybe they'll get better as the season goes on.

The offer was made regardless of what Benitez said to the press. We offered Cisse as part of the deal and they wanted Morientes. We are still speaking to them about Wacckeeeem but I have no idea which target Benitez will bring in. He (Wackeeem) has twice turned Chelski down but this week Kenyon was seen out with Wackeeem's dad and minder so maybe they will go back in for him - I'm sure SWP will be chuffed with that.


Reina, Alonso, Garcia and Morientes all called up for Spain this week, but not Wackeeem because the manager said he has been playing shite.

i my opinion im glad liverpool didnt want owen back we sold him for 8 million and they wanted 16 million to let us have him back a complete wast of money it would have been on a piece of talent who isnt as good as he thinks he is

Oh yes, you're right, he's shit. He's scoring record is pants. You're much better off with Morientes and Crouch which is clearly being proved this season.

The four goals in five games for Newcastle so far shows EXACTLY what a bad buy he would have been.

How many have Crouch and Moritentes got in the League so far? That would be a big fat juicy ZERO. LFC fans are talking bollocks if they think Owen wouldn't improve the team by 100%. He'd improve any teams goal threat and as for him being overrated, what utter toss. His scoring ratio in the Premiership is close to a goal every two games.

Well, as I said, given the cost of Moritentes, Cisse and Crouch, Owen would score more goals than them put together and would work out cheaper so I really don't see how he would have been a "waste of money". I certainly don't think Newcastle are worried about paying 16M for him.
