But Alan Shearer the dullest pundit ever. You can pretty much garentee he'll never say anything interesting, funny or contraversal.

The ref in the Arse game was bloody awful. The penalty he gave (and I've seen plenty of them not given for that) was nowhere near as obvious a penalty as one he didn't give earlier on. WTF!

As for Spuds, ya :( I still want to know where they get the whole "Spuds fans think they are top four now and could even challenge for the title" that I kept hearing trotted out before the game... None of the Spuds fans I know think anything like that, they seem to think we'll probably be similar to last year...

BTW I did think 50 secs into the Arse game yesterday that all my prayers had been answered! :D

You have a good squad now mate and Jol has consistently spent big.

Do you think this could be his last season ?

Dunno, altho he has spent big the net spend is actually a lot lower factoring in the sales we have carried out (same as Teh Hammaz, the net for them is less than 2 mil I think!)

I hope it is not his last season, consistency at the top of one of many keys to ManYoo's success and I happen to like the bloke, after many years of idiots at the top I think we have someone that the fans and players like. I just think now certainly our midfield with the odd exception (Lennon!) is not as good as our attack. You can have the best strikers in the world and if they aren't getting the service they aren't going to manage to do much (and that is what I think lead to Berba's visible frustration just before he was taken off against the Cats....)

Do bear in mind as well that our first choice central defence pairing were both injured at the weekend which didn't help matters (the curse of Anderton is obviously still doing the rounds!)

The Spurs vs Sunderland was a poor match. Spurs dominated possession but lacked a killer pass that a forward could capitalize on - I have always though Jenas was overrated and nothing in that game made me change my mind! A three proned attacked with Keane playing in a Scholes type role behind Berby and Bent could be an option.
I thought Sunderland were disapointing, very negative and couldn't string more than a couple of passes together before losing control, despict picking a lucky 3 points this weekend I think they struggle if they don't improve.

Never mind chaps, nice easy game against Derby next before the trip to Manure.

Spurs are sucking so badly this season they'll probably actually manage to beat us

If I caught it right Jol just made a pretty damning comment about Robinson.

3 gifts for goals but I was amazed that Spurs created nothing in the second half. Completely lacking in creativity of any form in midfield.

Didn't see the match (decided to watch Die Another Day instead, which hasn't got any better infact it's worse since seeing how a JB should be done in Casino Royale). How did Everton look? Can't really remenber them scoring 3 for a while (the normally grind out 1-0's). Moyes seems to have them well organized.

Spurs started slowly last season if I recall?

Only saw the second half but Everton looked quite good in so much as they were solid and took their chances. Once they were 3-1 up they didn't commit more than 3 men forward so Spurs were having to fight to get anywhere but leaving themselves open at the back.

The Toffees need more goals from their forward players if they're going to do well this season though. First goal was down to poor defending (as was the equaliser). Second was unlucky as the defender cleared it as well as he could but then took out Robinson in the process leaving Osman with an easy(ish) chance. Third goal should have been disallowed for a foul in the wall (Everton player pushed a Spurs player over and the shot deflected off his foot as he fell).

Spurs were also unlucky in that Berbatov hit the post and Defoe's shot was well saved. Then again, Robinson had to make a few decent saves to keep the score at 3-1.

Spurs have a big injury list and need players back ASAP. Their defence looks weak and the midfield is poor. No point having a great attack if your midfield is doing nothing to set them up and your defence is shipping goals. 4 conceded so far and they've yet to come up against a decent attacking side.

Chimpbonda makes Zakora look good and I'd expect Manure to rip them to pieces unless something changes fast.

It was all down to the rain. Those foreign nancy boys playing for spurs all looked like they wanted their umbrellas.

Have u seen how many of the spurs foreigners wear gloves as early as September!

Relegation battle for Spurs next week - 6 pointer at Old Trafford :D

I am so pissed off its not true. Rob ****ing Styles - worst penalty decision I;ve ever seen, in fact worst display I've ever seen from a 'top flight' ref throughout the game.

Could be worse, you could be a ManU fan whose g/f's son is a ManC fan :(

God I'm going to hate this week, right up to the point we go LARPing and I can knock the smugness right outta him.

Styles wants throwing to Non-League for that call.

I was a disgrace to be honest, wasn't a penalty by any stretch of the imagination but to listen to Andy Grey on sky was even worse, that stupid twat came to the conclusion that malouda(sp) jumped out of the balls way and wasn't going for the penalty at all, fucking idiot.

Mad Jens could have fallen asleep and cost you 2 points
lol, Mad Jens FTW at the moment! :D

Happy to see Spuds finally wake up (admittedly against Derby), always thought Sunderland was going to be very tricky and the toffees beat us last year so.... I have a horrible feeling the ManUre are going to do to us what we did to Derby this weekend! :(

Also I don't care what Styles said, he showed two separate yellow cards during the Terry incident. Plus the penalty was bollox! Also, how did Rio not get booked in the ManU game for that wrestle to the ground and subsequent reaction?!

I have a strong suspicion that Manure are going to slaughter you.

Spurs always try to play football and will have more confidence after the Derby game so I'd expect you to leave Manure lots of space to exploit instead of trying to keep it tight. That and the fact your midfield and defence are still weak doesn't bode well.

Manure are creating a boat load of chances but failing to convert and Fergie will have them wound up and looking for blood.

I thinks you're gonna get a whoopin'.

That said, if you do manage to beat them, I can still laugh at them for being shite :tehwin:
