Finally, with a little help on build, able to make progress in Act1 inferno, solo.

Any ideas on a value - if any - for this staff thoguh:
DPS: 976
Int: 75
Vit: 140 ish
Dex: 40
(Some other stat I forget about)
Level: 47
i wonder how much i can shift it for...
the Dex is useless, is it a 2h? if its 1h it'll shift for a good amount, assuming it has ok other stats (i.e. useful), if its 2h, then probably wont go for much, I wouldn't think more than 75k ish.
And with inferno, give us a shout on SC, I keep hitting the butchers enrage timer, not for a lack of DPS, just because I have to move so much when solo. I kick out 16k DPS atm (with 60k hp) so if you're up to the butcher, we could probably get into act 2 and find out more ways to die

I had my first real fun game last night, with a group that actually chatted in the chat! i mean shitting me, it was amazing we spoke and had fun, only time i have done that previously is with Legs and Kaine in 2 games, I do find D3 is the perfect rolemodel in how to be an antisocial fucktard, it's awful.
hoping i run into those i played with again last night, it was great to run along in Hell not trying to keep up with some tool just running through the map not fighting mobs, and actually survive and level.

Not up to the butcher yet arty, but doing pretty well upto and past the Sk with full NV stacks, no packs skipped etc. Hopefully will be able to get near him tonight. Picked up asoem nice gear yesterday that balanced my stats out a little better. Lost some resist as i ahd too much, gained 10k HP and 2k dps.

i suppose it depends on when you started playing - when i first played in beta, there was no such thing as elective mode or not - you could just put skills where you wanted. so when they put the limitation in, it seemed more like an odd limit for nubs, and at least there was an option not to do it for pros like me
i have used other than elective mode - but only because if you turn elective mode off after setting your skills, it means you cant accidentally drag one off a bar and lose your nv stacks.

As this is now Generic D3 thread i though i'd share with you tails of epic win:
Got back from the pub on Friday night and decided to have a go at progressing through act2 inferno.
It was touch and go, but made it through to Belial who after about 8 wipes i finally killed. Woop. Though the kill was about 10 seconds after NV Stacks dropped (boo!)
Then sold all the stuff I picked up including a 1050dps (poor other stats but still!) wand... which i dropped a zero on... Neting me 250k gold.

have a 60 monk & wizzie also made a baby barb, but due to the chat system and the fact i probably count the total amount of decent games/groups on one hand, d3's staying power for me is very limited, as well as the fact I hardly see anyone online when i play..I have also picked up the new MW3 maps which are rather tasty after a few months break

Yeah I am still enjoying it but admittedly I don't have that much time which is keeping it fresh for me. I suppose I haven't got to the really hard bits where it may become a slog. I don't feel like I have explored everything yet either. Still getting the odd 'new' event amd haven't tried all the chars yet so will be playing this for a while yet. I think last time I checked I was 40 odd hours for my Barb and 65ish for my Demon hunter.
