Ohh Cuth, that makes me like my kans even more :)

And Req, that's my fear, having it split as I currently do. though it worked well with the necrons zed didn't have any sneaky sneaky stuff to worry them

Would be nice if I could put the lootas in a trukk, but lootas don't seem to support a transport vehicle, then at least they would be mobile, if I needed to rush them away from trouble

use your same force org next time we play vs some tyranids and see how it handles a CC army.

Your mobility worked well in anhiliation and would do nice in objectives based games as well, especially since you can push everything forward then around turn 4 take a unit of troops in a trukk back to claim your objective.

I tried a mix n match Tyranids force and it doesnt work well because theres not so much synergy. Nowadays i field either all CC or ranged for my Nids. Id stick with your mobile force and see how it plays.

You can buy transport vehicles separately if they are available in the force org (Looted Wagons or Battlewagons from Heavy Support for example) and these can be used to transport stuff that doesn't have a dedicated transport option.

Aye it did work well, but it is a mobile force with 150 points on a static shooty portion, I'm considering replacing them with snikrott and kommando's, you get then mobility and a nice rushing into your exposed areas force. Think I'll try both in time, but stick with the same one for the nids, maybe changing the bikers to deffkoptas though as the more I look at deffkoptas the more I like them even, especially in single units

in my BA force, i tend to take a squad of devestators with plasmas/lascannons (300ish pts) whose sole purpose is to take out enemy armor/heavy infantry in the first turn, if they die after that then so what. i also take a 5man tactical squad to hold My own objective. pretty much everything else will be close combat. might take a tank or 2 if its a big game.

To be honest i also take a static unit,

Normally i have 6 long fang wit 5 Missle lanchers (wonders again Nids Warriors) but with the Sargent with CC and 2 A, add in a Wolf gaurd, in Termintor Armour and Cyclose Missle lanchers so i get 7 Krak Missles, 2 models with 2 attacks one with CC weapons the other a Storm bolter and Power weapon....all for just over 200 pts..... and then if have spare 80 points add in a Razor back wit twin link lascannons.

The rest of the army are in Rihno running about the place.

MM - nah, i dont tend to get white dwarf any more, cant be doing with paying that much for adverts, lotr, and blatently fake battle reports. the new codex is out this week or next anyway, so will probably wait for that :)

Saw an idea for a space marine army i quite liked for 1000pts. Total comedy though.

Dont have the codex but was something like

Master of the forge.

3 Dreadnoughts as elite choice

3 Dreadnoughts as heavy choice

2 cheap wimpy troop squads.

1000pts in less than 20 models, shame its still the best part of 150 to 200 quid.

eh, dont need scoring units to win if you wipe out your enemies entire force :) with my current army, its entirely possible to not have a single scoring unit :p

or just their scoring units, a very valid tactic when you find yourself without the old paddle...
