I've got tomorrow and Friday off work and thinking alot of Diablo is on order (Talili is away teaching), sell me a class and why it's good/fun :)

P.S I already have a Monk I play with Talili so won't pick the Monk class

yep wizard, I've had 3 on HC now, most enjoyable class for me. Just make sure you have a few CC abilities so you don't die so much :p

Well I tried Witch Doctor last night and must say it was alot of fun, now I'm stuck though, do I progress with him, or try a new class and have all my chars still under level 10 ...

I'd play each class till at least act 3 or level 20. Some classes really don't open up until you've got all the skill slots open.

Well the easiest class for me to play is definitely the Demon Hunter, and if u do, always remember to use the Shift key lots to stop him/her moving when firing away.

I love my barbarian.
But
Just hit a wall about half way through Act 3 hell, so went back to the act beginning to get up to 60 tog et some more skills that improve damage resistance, and of course, can now farm with NV stacks.

he's awesome.

Your opinion is worthless....
I play my 53 Monk, who i will be capping out at 60, possibly farming a bit so i can max smithing out, and I have also got a 16 wizzie which is good fun, i might if time permitting try out a barb and dh, but after testing GW2 this weekend i am hoping its released soon ;-)

I'm having a lot of fun with my witch at the moment. As well as being more fun she's also more powerful than my barbie girl was at the same level.

Cheers

Monk is easymode, certainly in norm and nightmare.

This is one of the things i think they got wrong , yes monk is easy mode right till the end of Hell, it's at Inferno that it stops being easy mode. In patch 1.0.3 they are taking the nerf bat to inferno act II, I believe, and for me this is the wrong way to go, they should increase the difficulty of Hell (and NM to some degree) and leave Inferno as it is.
I didn't really start to learn my class till I got to Inferno cause upto that point any old combination of skills got the job done, I didn't die more than once on any elite pack or boss, it was too easy.
There should be a more linear difficulty curve rather than the exponential they went for imo.

if that's the case - then monks need a general nerf. Barb is tough most of the way through. sure if you are sober, grouped with DPS cannons and Buying shitt you can stay on top of teh ccurve, but ehy bother? Easy games are all over the place.

hell why not load a +10 trainer :)

I get what you are saying, but most (admittedly non-pro) players i know feel the bite around late NM if they are semi competent.

But, I read a lot of "the game is easy until inferno" posts, and feel they are mostly bravado.

I read so much of : This game is easy up to Inferno if: You can play the AH to max your cash, you can exploit(borderline) stuff for mad cash, buy X,Y,Z to get you to N+1, and generally do stuff to make your internet pixels > the bell curve. Who givs a shit. it's fu IIRC

But this is how i choose to play (NO AH, give goo stuff away to mates) - and it's hard. why make it easy :)

Random thought of the day: The RMAH will remove stuff from the game. Richfags will buy "the BEZT GEAR LOLZ OMG" for thousands, and then - with no more challenge, quit.

huzzah.

ps. Play with no AH, it's fun.

pps. ro play really drunk. 's hardr.

Not used the AH yet, across 10 characters. I have looked, but the stuff around my level seems no better than whats dropping tbh. ( not 15-20 grands worth better, anyway)

I have been flogging the odd rare (from normal) on the AH, but I don't usually sell stuff for much more than 1000. I've seen people flogging the low level stuff for 10K+, no idea if it sells, but mine gets sold and I'm happy enough to use it upgrading my blacksmith as I go.

As for easy mode, until I swapped around a few skills on my barb (lvl20 now) I was getting my arse kicked, lol. Got to love revenge & whirlwind :)

when i first hit 60, i was given a nice weapon, and encouraged to go buy some stuff on the AH, which i did... might have overbought a bit, but it was really cheap - a full set of 57+ gear for under 40k total. it did make things slightly too easy for a while (this would be when you saw me, chick.) - I killed asmodan in just over 20 seconds (about 2 hits after WotB wore off), ignoring his aoes, and then i went through hell act 4 in under an hour (about 40mins in fact).
i then died on about the 3rd pack after tristram on inferno :p. that said i'm doing ok on inferno now (about to go kill Leoric... will see how that goes), its just a matter of adjusting.

its tricky with the auction house, because the prices are so inconsistant - its hard to know if you should shop or not. i think its fine once your on inferno - it seems difficult to make things 'too easy' on yourself :p, but until then be a bit careful of how much you buy. maybe only buy if you've been particularly unlucky with drops on particular slots.

I probably cruise the AH 2/3 times a session, 50k max per item, and then just make sure its an upgrade on int/vit (for my wizard), and then do "has socket" for helm, "movement %" for boots, etc.

Granted 50k for 1 item is alot, but an upgrade is an upgrade, I've picked up some silly stuff though, sub 5k for +100 int, +100 vit stuff is mad :D

legendaries always sell for silly amounts, I've sold lvl 10-15 legendaries for 50K before today. If theres demand, I'm willing to sell, otherwise I just price it at 10x the sell price of the NPC guys, if its yellow, it'll shift.
