Heheh, so If I had medical insurance I could take a trip in my shuttle then :)

I quite like the shuttle as well now, useful for letting me move my ships around and then repackage it and store it in the cargohold when I fly back.

yeah, shuttles are handy :) (i have them scattered all over the galaxy.... but then, thats not saying much. i found a crow of mine the other day, in an old base in immensea. We left immensea a year and a half ago.... :/)

and you should always have an up to date clone regardless of where your going, just in case. losing skill points to a silly death isnt nice.

I got the e-mail, and think I replied but got a message as I undocked and not sure it went.

I'm up for some fun one evening, the only questions is when and where (cos I'm all over the shop at the mo messing around).

well, if your still playing, got some good news for you - talked to my brother last night, and aparently he's 3-I's recruitment manager, and is perfectly happy to have a new person join the corp, even just a 2 week old :)
in fact, he said "get all the clanuk people to join us - we've got too many resources and not enough people"

:) I may have talked some others into trying the trial out to see what they think. And last night got my first cruiser, slow old thing but 4 medium drones and some nice big guns make up for it (although I can't seem to find a good range hybrid gun and closing the distance in a slow ship takes ages)

Still playing though and currently working on better equiping my cruiser and getting the others skills I need to make it a little better (and any suggestion to help are welcome).

I will wait till I change corp though, I want to repay the loan from the corp and also pay someone for the ships he's been making me (or just mine him a ton of ore to say thanks)

well, you are using gallente ships, and they're kinda well known for using blasters. of course, like you say - cruisers are slow. hence, they use stuff like afterburners, MWDs (micro warp drives) and Overdrives.
but in terms of longer ranged weapons... a 250mm rail gun should be ok. though 200mm might be an idea for ease of fitting requirements and stuff.

personally, i'm currently thinking of moving my skills in the direction of interdictors. Those things look *violent*. and fast. and reasonably tough. and like anything they cant kill, they can run from.

Just trained in Cruiser II so I'm onto the Vexor already with it's 75m*3 drone bay :) *drools* Which means the Exequror is going to become a mining barge I think

When are you both generally on ? I've seen Zeus around once but wondering if/when is a good time for us to maybe meet up and do something, even if it's only telling me what skills I should be training :)

ok, looks like i wont be doing anything with you folks for a while. my alliance currently has about 6000 players gunning against it in 0.0 space, and a couple of merc corps in wars against us in empire space. rumor is we might be losing several billion isk worth of materiel this weekend :p

Eeep, just reached the skill to use the Thorax, but a little confused as to what else I need to get for a cruiser, I think I need target painters, but any random advice welcome cos I've actually found the combat missions take longer in the cruiser than in my destroyer.

cruisers are a bit skill intensive to get the best out of is the problem...
for one thing, if you're still doing lvl 1 missions, you're probably fighting frigates, which cruiser guns will have trouble with. the destroyer meanwhile is built for taking out frigates.
tbh, i'd say stick with the destroyer for a while, whilst you skill up for a cruiser.
your going to need all sorts of skills... i cant remember names, but basically most of the gunnery section (to shoot stuff well), and a lot of the electronics and engineering sections (to fit all the stuff you want, and to toughen yourself up.)

pfft, tax wouldnt have any effect on me - i dont actually earn anything :D
i just have access to money if needed :p (and remember phx, a lot of money to gottaa is like 10mill or something. not the few billion that you have lying around for 'miscellaneous business expenses' or whatever you call them these days :p)

LOL, since when do ppl actually take me that serious ? :p

And no, some mill for somebody starting out are no problem at all :)
The 3-I welfare funds can cope with that \o/

After spending 2 days doing combat missions during the last few days of my 2 week trial I'm in two minds about paying to join in. The combat missions were repeated so often it was just silly, I did however get up to I think almost 3mil ISK with my first cruiser and at least some of the skills I needed to pilot it without being totally useless.

Off on holiday for the first time in 6 years next week so the sun and sand can clear the cobwebs out and I'll decide if I'm gonna come back and see what else there is to offer for someone who has rather odd playtimes in general.
