All So Predictable

Not as pro as Arsenal surrendering a 2 goal lead in injury time to the Spuds, the useless fuckers.

I think Wenger has lost his way a bit recently. He needs a quality holding midfielder and another good central defender if he wants to make a serious bid for the league title again. He also needs to appoint someone else Captain other than that tit Gallas.

Whats happened to Fabregas this season? He played like a total chump on Sat and hasn't been great at all so far.

They need to maybe think about trying Wilshere in the 1st team. Bentdner doesn't look good enough to me either. Oh, and Gallas is a cock - why is he the captain?

Given the other teams all seem to beating each other, I don't see anyone being consistant enough to get 4th place from Arsenal. But Wengers current crop of talented players do seem rather limp.

I'd sooner he played the reserves and let the "senior" players try and prove they deserve their place.

Their youngsters were superb last week, in the Carling Cup. Ramsey, Vela, Wilshere and Merida will all be good players. Denilson and Bendtner should be dropped for Ramsey and Vela, already.

Nasri was a good buy, even at nearly 20mill, but why does Wenger consistently pass over buying ball winners and tougher, experienced players ? Denilson and Fabregas, if they are to play together, needing a holding player behind them and much more movement ahead of them than Bendtner provides. They need a new keeper, tall strong centre back and a Vieira/Mascherano. Big mistake them not buying Alonso.

Be very surprised if Fabregas stays beyond next summer and, probably, time for a new manager. They're in a bit of a mess financially, too. On top of that Gallas and Adebayor are causing a lot of unrest in the dressing room - get rid.

I disagree mate. Its certainly no more of a problem than Liverpool have been having in the league for years now up until this season and yet they've stuck with Benitez.

The exact same team and formation that lost to Villa went out and played well against and beat ManU the previous week. Playing 4-5-1 against Villa at home probably wasn't the most adventurous but with limited options up front and the result the previous week you can understand him assuming it would be ok.

I think its 99% attitude. Even Fabregas, who hasn't been great so far this season but at least puts in the effort and running, was moping about the field completely out of sorts. Villa played very well also (although I think our performance was more our own doing than them being so good).

Whether there is some dressing room issues I've heard no more than the rumours you have but attitude seemed to be the main problem on Saturday and if anything the problem lies with Gallas.

We need a new captain is about the only sense I've read this week. A new manager though? Come on mate. Who? It really would be a disaster if Wenger was forced to leave. As for Fab, who knows, but I don't think our financial situation is any worse than a lot of teams and we made a nice profit recently.

Anyway I can't believe some of the nonsense being spouted about. Its footy; we don't have any right to win every game or play champagne football every week. The team need to get back to what they are good at and start giving a toss.

Gallas is trouble - Wenger should get rid. Arsenal have needed a decent centre back for ages and ages along with a holding midfielder or two that can get stuck in. Other than that, I don't see much wrong.

NFC why Wenger won't buy these guys tho. He can be a stubborn so and so. No way should you change manager though - thats crazy talk.

They need the three players you mention, plus a goalkeeper. Thats not the extent of the problem. Tree compared Benitez to Wenger, but the difference is year by year Benitez has improved the first team with solid dependable players. Nearly everyone would make a good captain and has captained their previous teams or their country.

With the players Wenger will, almost certainly, lose next summer he would have to change his philosophy to return Arsenal to the force they were three or four years ago.

On top of that, the problem now is that Wenger and Arsenal don't have a spare year or two to rebuild their team. City will spend big and be top four next year. Arsenal without Champions League for a year or two would be in serious trouble. (We would as well, without new owners). Its a time for players and teams with strong attitudes and solid foundation. I don't see that in Wengers philosophy or his team.

Chelsea away for Arsenal next week.

There's nothing wrong with the players we have though. They don't suddenly become arse over night and there is no need to re-build.

IMO most of the squad are still the gifted players they have always been. The problem they have now is that for all of their pretty short playing career, their game has been based on confidence in their ability, and they don't know how to handle a mini crisis like this (because they've never really had to).

With that numpty Gallas being a complete arse and players like Toure being indifferent form wise since the ACN, they have no older, experienced players to fall back on. All they have to look to for help are players of a similar age or younger going through a similar confidence hit.

In some ways this could be good for the club. When they come through it (which they will), it will be an experience builder and an important part of their development. Maybe Arsene will finally see that his experiment is not quite right and he needs more experience.

We do need two players though. A CB and CM. Two wily pro's to support the talent around them. Don't see much wrong with the goalkeeping situation tbh. Fabianski has been generally impressive if needs be when he plays. With Arsene though he is always looking for the exact fit when buying a player.

You wouldn't imagine it would be difficult for Arsenal to temp a couple of decent pro's away from most teams but I'm sure we'll make it hard for ourselves.

Wenger has just been on FF. To sum up. Score flattered Citeh. Boys showed good spirit. What I would expect him to say. Hope he doesn't really believe it though.

We are riddled with injuries again as well. That was nowhere near our first 11 out today.

Back to basics at The Sludge. Get Toure back in somewhere (rightback) and plonk someone tough in the middle to support Fabregas (Eboue). Play 4-4-2. RvP out wide with Ade and Bendtner up top. I really hate to say it but make up with Gallas (even if only tempoarily) and get him back in. We need all the old heads we can get at the moment.

They should go and buy Gattuso from Milan, he's appariently out of favour there. His tough tackling. run all day, never say die attitude is what Arsenal need, and you can pin the captain's armband on him - after his time in Scotland he probably speaks decent enough English.

/Leicester top of the league :)

You can't fault Bendtner wanting to be a Gunners legend :

Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner thinks he is the Gunners' 'King of Bling' after wearing a shocking pair of pink boots against Dynamo Kiev this week. "I love my pink boots," said Bendtner. "I've wanted to play in that colour ever since I was young. The only way anyone at Arsenal can beat me now is to play with diamond-encrusted boots. And I don't think that is going to happen for a few years."
